Emagine is looking for a freelance Fixed Asset Process Owner for a global SAP project.
Job Summary:
The Fixed Asset Process Owner will lead and manage the end-to-end fixed asset management process within the context of a global SAP implementation. This role will be critical in ensuring that fixed asset data, processes, and reporting standards are aligned with corporate objectives, compliant with local and international accounting standards, and effectively integrated into the SAP ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in fixed asset accounting, strong project management skills, and a proven track record in SAP deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design & Standardization:
Lead the design, standardization, and documentation of fixed asset processes across the organization in alignment with global best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the fixed asset processes are integrated seamlessly with other SAP modules (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Controlling).
SAP Implementation & Configuration:
Work closely with SAP functional consultants to configure fixed asset modules to meet business requirements.
Validate and approve functional and technical specifications related to fixed asset management.
Data Management:
Assist in the accurate migration of fixed asset data from legacy systems to SAP, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
Enforce data governance standards and practices for fixed assets.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure that all fixed asset processes are compliant with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Assist in design and testing of fixed asset reporting templates and dashboards
Assist in the preparation of audit documentation related to fixed assets and respond to audit queries as needed.
Change Management:
Act as a change champion to promote the adoption of new processes and technologies within the organization.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for fixed asset-related issues post-go-live.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the fixed asset lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Qualified accountant
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in fixed asset accounting and management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
Extensive experience in fixed asset management within manufacturing environments, including the complexities of managing assets across multiple production sites.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a global environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience change management within large-scale IT projects.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a multinational company or consulting firm with exposure to global finance operations.
SAP knowledge related to Financial Accounting & Asset Accounting modules
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and related fixed asset challenges
Working Conditions:
Occasional international travel may be required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility to accommodate global time zones.
Location: Copenhagen with flexible working hours supporting operations in Bangkok.
Onsite/remote: 4-5 days onsite per week at the office in Copenhagen.
Workload: Fulltime
Duration: 6 Months + option for extension
