Our client is seeking 5 highly skilled Database Engineers for the 3.9 Continuous Service for Oracle-Based Applications project. This role involves managing and optimizing Oracle databases across the client’s entire environment, ensuring smooth performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting critical business applications.
Description: The DB Engineer will be responsible for enabling features across the client’s Oracle-based environments, including implementation, integrity testing, application validation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support. You will also manage post-implementation support, rollback plans in case of failures, and immediate action in business-critical scenarios.
Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of experience managing Oracle Database versions from 12c to 19c (including RAC and DataGuard).
Strong experience with Linux operating systems.
Expertise in Oracle management tools such as DataGuard, RMAN, and Data Pump.
Strong understanding of architecture design principles.
Proven experience handling Oracle in a production RAC (ASM) environment (specifically 19c).
Practical experience creating PDB services and handling various DataGuard issues.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate, including process flow, downstream databases, and starting/stopping services.
Familiarity with storage management and FSFO troubleshooting.
Experience with change management, incident management, and Oracle SR handling.
Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) architecture and matrix management.
Responsibilities:
Prepare prePROD environment to enable FSFO (Fast-Start Failover).
Sync and troubleshoot issues with DataGuard.
Rebuild standby databases as needed.
DB service creation and PDB-level service validation.
Create new databases and migrate old PDBs to new containers.
Activate FSFO and troubleshoot FSFO-related issues.
Execute tests on prePROD environments, including switchover and failover tests.
Perform database-level patching and manage changes related to the operating system (Unix processes, load management, daemon management).
Handle RAC issues with disaster recovery (DR).
Set up and manage OGG (Oracle GoldenGate) microservices and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Implement changes on production environments.

Duration: 12 months + possibility for extension
Workload: Full-time, time & material
The role is based in Copenhagen, minimum 3 days in the office and max 2 days remote per week.
