Job Description
Our client is seeking a Certified and skilled and experienced Informatica Senior Developer/Architect to join their team of developers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing Informatica solutions while providing technical leadership to the development team.
Responsibilities
1. Solution Design: Architect and design Informatica solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
2. Development: Lead and participate in the development of ETL processes, mappings, and workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
3. Data Modeling: Collaborate with data modelers and database administrators to design and optimize data models for efficient ETL processes.
4. Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within Informatica mappings and workflows.
5. Integration: Integrate Informatica solutions with various data sources, including databases, flat files, and APIs.
6. Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce best practices for data quality, data profiling, and data validation within Informatica.
7. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and process documentation.
8. Team Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
9. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other IT teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Extensive experience working with Informatica PowerCenter and other Informatica tools.
- Proven expertise in ETL development, data integration, and data warehouse concepts.
- Strong SQL and relational database skills (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
- Familiarity with data modeling principles and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and provide technical leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Informatica PowerCenter or related Informatica products.
- Experience with cloud-based Informatica solutions, such as Informatica Cloud.
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and their integration with Informatica.
It is crucial for the successful candidate to possess a strong technical background in Informatica and related technologies, as well as the ability to lead and contribute to the development of robust data integration solutions.
