emagine is currently seeking a Data Integration Specialist for one of our clients in the pharmaceutical industry.

Job Description:

  • Project objective: Data integration between Project Management Information System and contractors’ data

  • Project timeline: 6 months excluding vacation starting March 01 2025, with an 100 % allocation (40 hours per week) until October 31 2025.

The Data Integration Specialist will be a part of the Project Management Information System roll-out project and will perform the following activities connected to the global roll-out of the system, which is expected to run from February 2025 until September 2025.

For each site in the FFEx scope:

  • Document EPCm partners and systems.

  • Support sites on engaging with EPCm to determine options for receiving monthly cost data from EPCm (jointly with project team).

  • Lead the track responsible for designing and establishing a data cleaning and transformation process allowing our client to bring all EPCm data in scope for a given site into the cost management system in the required format (supported by the project team).

    • Priority must be given to:

      • A short-term feasible solution that may be manual or semi-manual.

      • Focusing on bringing EPCm data into the cost management system.

    • Subsequently, once import of EPCm data is in working order, to establish an automation roadmap to make import processes robust and durable for years.

  • Participate in mapping SAP cost data (actuals and commitments) and supporting on bringing this data into the cost management system (led by project team, Data Integration Specialist to be involved a “stay informed” basis).

  • Provide input on any cost management processes and site-specific challenges as they relate to bringing cost data into the cost management system.

For PMO reporting:

  • Once the flow of cost data (SAP and EPCm) to the cost management system is established, contribute to design and execution of reporting solutions as needed, including establishing or migrating to long-term viable data management tools.

  • Design considerations for this should be taken into account while performing initial setup of EPCm data import, however crucially not at the expense of short-term execution or timeline.

For ETL setup and tool selection

  • Act as a solution architect and advisor for selection of short term options for data transformation and on transition to a long-term standard.

    • Covering: fit for purpose, compliance with our client´s requirements, and systems operations considerations.

Ad-hoc data transformations or architectural tasks may be included.


The FFEx scope is a global project portfolio of currently nine large-scale expansion projects and is expected to grow.

  • EPCm data readily available for usage in the cost management tool.

  • All ETL operations to be automated in the designated tool. The end state is assumed to be Databricks or Fabrics. Short-term, other tools are allowed in consideration of the timeline for bringing EPCm data in.

    • However, transition to the long-term state in automated ETL operations must occur once external cost data is readily available to a satisfying degree in the system.

  • All ETL transformations to be well documented, reviewed and accepted by QA responsible stakeholders prior to go live.
