Data Engineer for Lab Data Insights team
On behalf of one of our clients in the pharmaceutical industry, emagine is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to lead transformative data engineering initiatives within their Lab Data Insights team. You will be instrumental in driving innovation and optimization in the development of data pipelines and data products to deliver top-notch data integration solutions.
The Position
As a Data Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:
Executing the data engineering strategy in collaboration with stakeholders.
Implementing data pipelines and platforms to create FAIR data products.
Taking a specialist role to ensure technical soundness and integrity of data solutions.
Collaborating with data engineers and application specialists to foster innovation.
Co-creating roadmaps with product owners and architects.
Proactively seeking optimization opportunities in processes and data flows.
Defining and communicating solution architecture to support business strategies.
Delivering high-quality, scalable data integration solutions.
Key Requirements
Master’s degree in Data, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
8+ years in software and data engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in Data Pipeline Engineering.
Proficiency in Databricks and Spark.
Expertise in data modeling, integration, and governance.
Strong SQL skills for complex query development.
Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and tools.
Python experience is a plus.
Familiarity with the Pharma and Biotech industry is an advantage.
Nice to Have
Experience in leading complex data engineering projects.

Allocation: 100%
Start date: 22nd of April 2025
Duration: 12 months with possibility of extension
