emagine is seeking a Linux Expert Engineer for a client in the financial sector.
The Linux expert will support restore from backup solution, file based restore testing and enabling restore testing for 100+ BC/HA applications.
• Supporting the analysis of technical requirements for File-based restore testing
• Providing advice on best practices
• Collaborating with WS2.7 restore testing to secure restore test solution
• Defining specifications for networking, security, polices etc.
• Participating in PoC, tests and analysing results
• Test solution documentation support (SOP document)
Qualification:
• Expert level Linux knowledge is a must, Knowledge of Veritas backup software is an advantage.
• We need this highly skilled resource in project to deliver on programme level milestones
• Able to take technical lead and have strong communications and technical writing skills.
• Advocate technical solutions to people with and without technical knowledge
• In-depth knowledge in the Linux core infrastructure components and are experienced in conducting solution design and system development.
Linux expert required to support with specific technical knowledge and industry practice to proceed with design, implementation and roll-out of restore from backup testing solution – File based restore testing. The solution development is strictly dependent on Linux expert resource.
