Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Developer for a 6-month contract to support the development of a Metadata Repository (MDR). The role involves designing and implementing RESTful APIs (POST/GET JSON), managing data integration across document stores, graph databases, and vector stores, and enforcing schema validation for metadata ingestion and retrieval. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with API development, database design (including document and graph stores), vector-based retrieval, and data validation frameworks.
Main Responsibilities:
Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate data retrieval.
Manage data integration across multiple storage solutions.
Enforce schema validation for metadata ingestion and retrieval.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for metadata management.
Ensure scalability and performance of backend systems.
Key Requirements:
Experience with REST APIs.
Proficiency in JSON validation.
Expertise in document stores (e.g., MongoDB).
Knowledge of graph databases (e.g., Neo4j or RDF stores).
Experience with vector stores (e.g., FAISS, Milvus, Pinecone).
Strong backend development skills.
Broad programming knowledge including Python, SQL, and SPARQL.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with semantic technologies such as RDF, OWL, SPARQL, or SHACL.
