Senior IT Solution Architect – Cloud technologies
On behalf of one of our clients in the pharmaceutical industry, we are seeking an experienced cloud architect to act as paternity cover for one of our senior IT solution architects, primarily supporting major strategic initiatives in our portfolio, driving architectural improvements, and offering architectural guidance for initiatives requiring assistance.
Responsibilities
Main responsibility: DataCore (Connected Data Platform)
Architectural Support, especially for the platform team
Collaboration with the DataCore platform team on API ingest features
Guide teams to ensure alignment with target architecture and principles
Participate in design and planning sessions for DataCore features
Act as a sparring partner for Product Owners and management, offering architectural insights
Supplementary responsibilities
Supporting key initiatives like Studyhub with dependencies related to DataCore
Engaging in regular tech-lead community interactions
Working with the flow-manager team to establish a specific domain service
Department responsibilities include:
Contributing to Solution Review and Initiative support for Tech Leadership
Improving target architecture
Enhancing the Solution Framework
Cross-org collaboration within DDIT to improve the Container platform
Key Requirements
Experience as an architect
A solid understanding of:
Infrastructure as code
Monitoring/observability
Data engineering
API development
Azure cloud
Proficient in Python
Experience in building and operating platforms for software engineering or data analytics
Competent in software engineering practices
Skilled in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Go)
Proficient in script-based approaches
Knowledge of testing schemes (unit, integration, mocks, A/B, chaos engineering)
Understanding of secure software development life cycle
Nice to Have
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
Experience in agile development environments
