Summary: This role aims to support the Compliance department, contributing to the promotion of integrity and adherence to legislation within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with Belgian and EU regulations.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of controls and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability and recommend corrective actions.
Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on compliance-related matters, including AML, KYC, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely and accurate reporting of compliance-related information.
Develop and deliver compliance training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of compliance obligations across the organization.
Investigate and resolve compliance issues, including conducting internal investigations and preparing reports for senior management.
Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices and ensure the bank's compliance framework is adapted accordingly.
Work closely with various departments to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization.
Must Haves:
5-7 years of experience in compliance within the banking or financial services industry.
In-depth knowledge of Belgian and EU banking regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Full proficiency in both Dutch and English.
Nice to Haves:
Experience with AML, KYC, and GDPR regulations.
Proven track record of compliance training development.
Familiarity with best practices in compliance frameworks.
