Introduction & Summary
We are seeking an experienced Backend Java Developer. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience, preferably within the financial sector. The role involves developing REST services for a new property assessment system, ensuring the ability to translate business requirements into development tasks, and participating in all aspects of service maintenance and deployment.
Main Responsibilities
Developing REST services for the new property assessment system.
Participating in analysis, development, and maintenance of a web service portfolio ranging from legacy SOAP services to newer REST services.
Understanding and working within property domains, property assessment, and public property data.
Translating business requirements into development tasks.
Engaging in estimation, scheduling, development, testing, production rollout, and daily maintenance.
Key Requirements
5-10 years of professional experience, particularly in the financial sector.
Experience in developing and implementing web applications.
Participatory experience in projects with an analytical and solution-oriented approach.
Proficient in Java (EE), Maven, and REST web services.
Experience with Swagger, JSON, Hibernate, and SQL (DB2 and Oracle databases).
Familiarity with GIT, Bitbucket, Sonar, Jenkins, OAuth, Weblogic, SOAP, and Struts.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and agile environment.
Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
Nice to Have
Experience in complex flow and domain understanding.
