Job Description
On behalf of one of our clients in the pharmaceutical industry, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer. The Position
As their new Data Engineer, you will support the development and professionalisation of our data foundation in the PS Sustainability team, monitoring and reporting sustainability metrics across all of Product Supply, Quality and IT (PSQIT).
As a Senior Data Engineer at Novo Nordisk, you will:
Design, develop, test and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate data workflows.
Utilize Databricks to build scalable data solutions and optimize performance.
Ensure data quality, integrity and security across all data engineering processes.
Ensure adherence to our client´s best practices and Ways of Working.
Establish and promote best practices for version control using git.
Collaborate with PS Sustainability team to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
While they already have several business-critical data products and models to maintain and improve, they are also a small department on a big change journey. They therefore invite you to take on a key responsibility in the ongoing development and maintenance of our data foundation. They work in product teams in an agile setup and their aim is to have clear priorities, collaborative processes and curious minds.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, complemented by experience in data engineering. A master’s degree is preferred.
Extensive experience with git and managing version control in a collaborative environment.
Proven track record of implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Strong proficiency in Databricks and its ecosystem.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
Experience with agile methodologies and digital transformation initiatives.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Domain leadership experience, i.e. the capability to mentor and guide team members.
Fluency in English.
It will be considered an advantage, if you have experience with:
Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
Fabric (Particularly PowerBI)
No-code, low-code tools like Alteryx
Location: Bagsværd, Copenhagen
Allocation: 100%
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Rest of 2025 (possibility of extension)
