emagine is looking for an experienced developer for our Transport and Logistics client’s EDI Team in Canada.
Role Overview: A Senior IT Specialist will be responsible for the operational and administrative activities of the EDI systems, providing technical support in the design and development of new and complex flows.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate activities across multiple teams for disaster recovery, database upgrades, and AIX server patching
Research and troubleshoot EDI system issues in collaboration with EDI Support
Create and maintain documentation such as Solution Design Documents and Operational Manuals for EDI solutions
Administer system maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning of existing EDI systems
Collaborate with EDI Developers and IT teams to convert business needs into technical requirements
Troubleshoot application and business process-related issues
Prepare guidelines for standardizing EDI development to ensure quality
Assist EDI Intake and Migration Teams with technical queries on mapping and related processes
Document installation of new products to enhance EDI system capabilities.
Education and experience
Approximately five years of experience with IBM Sterling Integrator and Sterling Secure Proxy
Two years of experience with IBM Sterling Transformation eXtender/Sterling Transformation eXtender Advanced
Experience in designing and building complex flows in IBM Sterling Integrator using Business Processes, XSTLs, Maps, etc.
Knowledge of EDI standards like UN/EDIFACT or ANSI-X12
Familiarity with XML and JSON
Strong understanding of communication protocols: FTP, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, AS2, Web services (SOAP/REST), etc.

Basic knowledge of Cloud computing concepts, preferably Microsoft Azure
Good knowledge of the industry-specific IT-application landscape and IT-architecture (Transport and Logistics) is preferred.
